'Fantasy Railroad in the Stars (銀河鉄道の夜)' by Kagaya Studio
In spite of the fact that the original short story by Miyazawa Kenji 宮沢賢治 has human characters, you will not encounter a human face in this anime adaptation by Kagaya Studio, which attempts to tell the story with a 45-minute sequence of still-lifes.
Having said that, every frame in this anime is of poster quality, so it should not be a great problem for the audience to sustain interest in spite of the lack of drama involving human interactions. (But to be honest, since I have an extremely short attention span, I could not help but wish at times that I could get it over with by fast-forwarding... Still, one has to give them points just for trying...)
