Eno. (who is also known as 何何舞) is my favorite illustrator of all time. She published her first artbook in 2007 under the title "Marquee Moon" (华盖之月). Above is an image from a series of drawings called "night of sublimation" dated from 2004 - 2006 and collected in that artbook.

Also from the artbook "Marquee Moon" is a series of drawings entitled "夜想花" dated 2006. Above is a drawing from that series.

In 2009, she published her second artbook entitled "Anemone" (银莲花). Above is one of the drawings collected in this artbook. The drawing was originally the cover image of the 6th issue of the literary magazine "月小说".

There are some wonderful illustrations here. I especially like the “as the world comes down” series. What a lovely contrast of black and white!

Thank you for bringing this to my attention.

You are welcome. Making noise on this blog is the least I could do the bring more attention to these contemporary Chinese artists with such *amazing* vision of beauty. I sometimes think I ought to buy a bunch of their artbooks and give them away for free in a lucky draw on this blog. They don’t cost a lot (probably only US$8 each – and I am talking about legitimate copies). It is a pity that it is such a hurdle for overseas buyer to buy online and settle in renminbi. Maybe I will do just that the next time I am in Shenzhen or Shanghai. ^-^

Actually, I stand corrected. I just found out that Amazon.cn has landed in the PRC and they do accept credit cards and ship overseas:

    http://www.amazon.cn

You can search for Eno’s artbooks, and those of many other artists there.
