[Illustration] PRC Artists: Xia Da, Wang Huan, Shao Hua, Sheep and Zhao Jia
I always say that there are more talented Chinese illustrators / manhua artists these days than I have time to keep up with them. There is always a new name coming across my way every month and even then I feel that what I know is only a tip of the iceberg. Below are some of the new names I came across recently:

Above is an illustration by Xia Da (夏达). News reached me that her supernatural manhua series "Zi Bu Yu (子不语)" is to appear in Japanese translation as "誰も知らない 〜子不語〜” this month.

Illustration cover of the June 2009 edition of the literary magazine "Zui Xiao Shuo : Ying Ke (最小说 映刻)" by Wang Huan (王浣).

Illustration cover of the May 2009 edition of the bonus manhua magazine "Zui Man Hua (最漫画)" by Wang Huan (王浣).

IIllustration cover of the March 2009 edition of the bonus manhua magazine “Zui Man Hua (最漫画)” by Wang Huan (王浣).

A B&W illustration by Wang Huan (王浣).

The illustrated cover of “Ran Xi Qi Tan (燃犀奇谈)“ by Shao Hua (少华).

Another illustration of “Ran Xi Qi Tan (燃犀奇谈)“ by Shao Hua (少华).

An illustration album entitled "Hydrophily (水生纲)" published by the PRC artist Sheep.

Novel covers illustrated by Zhao Jia (赵佳), whose artstyle somewhat reminds me of Amano Yoshitaka (天野喜孝).

Definitely agree on that one. I have never heard for even one of those artists – that doesn’t speak anything, because my knowledge of that scene is very limited. But, from the bunch, Wang Huan has left the strongest impression on me.
Ridiculus:
There is such a burst of creativity in that area in the PRC these days, and widening demand for arts/literary/manhua magazines targeted at young people too. Slowly but surely some of these artists who illustrate these publications will become more widely known overseas. I think the joy of discovering them must have been like the joy of discovering shoujo manga artists in the 60s when they were just beginning to bloom.
Wang Huan does seem to be a very versatile artist indeed.
SUGOI!please if you could link us to galleries *beg*
thanks for introducing us to such beauty

Copying and pasting the Chinese names of the artists into Google Image search might do the trick.
The Chinese market seems to be really interesting. And as far as anything you have posted to far, most of it is much more beautiful than the Japanese things that reach overseas right now.
Here in Germany there seems to be starting interest. Tokyopop Germany is publishing continously works from Benjamin. A pity only that it is not to my personal taste, but I do hope that the trend will eventually expand and more works make it over here.
(On a side note… You have posted quite a number of artists in your old blog before the launch of this current one. Unfortunatly my external drive crushed recently along with all the pictures and their names. And more unfortunantly I don’t remember any of the names except eno. Would you mind reposting them somehow? It would be really great!)
Shina Luna:
Haven’t heard from you for a while. How are things?
Yes, agreed that it would be a good idea to post about those RRC artists again for reference. I will get to it slowly but surely.
